Reuse Retail

Experience in managing Household Waste Recycling Centre shops, and High St standard shops, working in conjunction with national waste providers and Council partnerships, to ensure sustainability for the  Enterprise/Charities profitability, through donated items for resale, upcycle projects, recycle initiatives, Trade- off takers, Site auctions, etc, whilst actively promoting and supporting the Charities brand and values.

The Reuse Network, and other recycling membership groups both local and national  understanding the levels of membership, reducing poverty, tackling waste and offering a brighter future to individuals in our society is key, reducing the volume of household items sent to waste each year, and a having a fundamental passion and interest, to ensure each successful project is key to making a difference.

 Reuse credits are payments made to furniture reuse organisations for furniture  sold or distributed locally for reuse. Reuse Credits are discretionary to Furniture Reuse Organisations for household furniture and similar household items that are sourced only from the household waste stream, Reuse credits are tonnage based payments and have a value equal to that of the ‘Single Recycling Credit Rate’ calculated annually.  

 Opening large format out of town destination shops, white goods warehousing etc, including grant funding, for garden centres, cafes and local social funding schemes, within the parameters of the Charity/Enterprise, working side by side with local authorities and national organisations, to raise income and support those in need. 

Understanding the complex and relevant details of legislation and how it could affect the future of trading within the industry, reducing landfill and saving hundreds of thousands of tonnes of CO2 

  Managing the complex relationship of reporting and recording commercial  information for the Waste provider/Council partnership, solving day to day issues and developing strategies and business plans for the future, whilst complying to 

 local /national audits and Reuse Network member Audits
